Social media recruiting tips is one of the number one questions we get asked for help all the time and I think now's a perfect time to revisit these tips since social media can change all the time.
Now can't take the credit for these tips, they were actually inspired by Ray Higdon, who's a network marketing trainer.
Social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook started as a way for people could chat about their day or post funny pictures or family and friends. While many people still have a strictly personal presence on these sites, these sites have also become very effective marketing tools.
Facebook is my favorite and my suggestion before going all in and to pick on place and totally master it. Because we've gotten so many leads and customers from Facebook and now they've recently announced they have over 2 billion users, it's my favorite.
So let's get this the party started:
6 Ways To Attract New Customers Recruits Online
1. Create or adjust your profile to create curiosity
Now this doesn't mean switch up your page to have it spammed with your company logo or links all over the place. You can create curiosity posts! Not trying to brag but curiosity posts are a specialty that IF you haven't started doing this you're missing out HUGE.
Try to create posts that either share a result or success someone's having by using your company's product or service without saying the what or how. Got this one from Ray “Fired up to see our new customer _______ get such fast results with their ___________”
2. Never, Rarely, Never Mention The Name of Your Company
Not gonna lie, a few years back I was SPAMMING the name of my company all over the place lol so I was like the blind leading the blind teaching folks what NOT to do.
So what's the big deal with saying your company? Everything!! All someone has to do if they were curious is just Google the name and they'll see everything that's wrong with it or worst find someone who has a bigger online presence than you do and end up signing up with them because it looks like that person is a professional because they were found online.
It's funny because we recently joined a new business and it took me about a year to figure out what company our upline was in because they had never mentioned it anywhere plus I never asked. (so if you're curious where I am just ask here) don't be me lol.
3. Facebook Messenger
Never send someone a link IF they didn't ask for it. Honestly because I've been in Facebook jail before this was a rule I had to learn the hard-way. It's funny because for me it takes about 5-6 times of answering questions, ATM'ing (Adding prospect to our group, Tagging, them in a video, Messaging them to follow-up) before I even get to a point of a link at all.
The reason why you don't want to be quick with sending a link is because they could mark it as spam, they may not read or not respond at all. I actually say it in a way where I'm saying would you want me to send to you?
There's a right way and wrong way to use scripts. Now in my company we do have scripts, which are cool and valuable resource to give you an idea of what to say to folks so don't get me wrong. BUT put scripts into your own words for each conversation.
Scripts are kind of weird in a good way because some work great via social media then some work like FIRE over the phone so my suggestion use your best judgement before you say a word and make sure it sounds like a human being is talking.
5. Don't Sweat One Person
Whether you do or have ever got caught up on that one person who's been joining since the beginning of time, don't worry we've all been there. As a matter of fact I still do, I've had a woman telling me she's been on the online sign up page for almost 2 months and I'm still curious that she keeps me updating because I haven't asked since the first stand up lol.
There's so many people who are looking for what you have to offer, you'd be wasting your time and energy going back to check on that one person. Believe me when a person is ready they'll find you.
6. Don't Stop
One of the things I do see many people do is quit too soon. We've had so many people who team up with us and I'm floored at their potential but for whatever reason they just quit and guess what, they were just one person away from success.
If you're struggling but other folks in your company are seeing promotions, celebrate them because believe me those celebrations will come back 10 times when it's your turn.
If you need to connect with a friend or teammates in your company and do a 100 day blitz for your company. Sometimes working with another person towards the common goals works best because they understand your struggles and successes.
In my most recent Facebook Live I dove a little deeper and shared the EXACT 6 tips I take all the time which will help you attract more customers and recruits. It's actually how I had over 200 people reached out to me because they were curious as to exactly what I was doing from one of our curiosity posts:
