I thought it was time I put together this Network Marketing training covering this topic because we seem to get this question all the time.
Do you think it's better to lead with the product or the business?
Being in this industry since 1999 we understand coming from struggling to get even one person to take a look at what you have to hitting the highest level in a network marketing company feels like but that didn't come without testing prospecting techniques and strategies.
Deciding which direction to take honestly depends on the prospect you're talking whether online marketing or offline marketing. It also starts by asking the right questions.
Network Marketing Training – Should You Lead With The Business or The Product
Be an expert on your niche.
You need to be able to answer questions effectively. Believing in your product wholeheartedly can really increase the numbers of members who join your company. Your knowledge of the product is key to being able to answer any questions. This also shows your potential clients you are an expert and qualified to lead them with marketing the products.
Sit back and let your prospects lead the conversation.
Take advantage of the various contact methods available, such as social media, e-mail, and blogging, to gather as much information as possible. Learning more about your contacts will give you a position to market from. Once you are sure of their needs, wants and dreams, as well as their concerns, you will be better equipped to market to them directly.
Let's say your prospects says they want to look lose weight, you're not going to lead with the company you're gonna lead with the product if you're in a health company.
Let's switch it up and your prospect is wanting to quit their job, they're not gonna want to care about the product they're looking into how much money they could make.
What's cool is that almost every company has a story of success you could share from. So sharing success stories will help you after you've figured out which direction the prospect wants you to take them.
Another way you could approach your audience is by branding you, which most network marketing don't teach more about.
If you're in a beauty company, you can promote yourself as a beauty expert teaching tips and sharing of what could be possible in your opportunity.
For me I wanted to be more of a person who serves others so the way I brand myself is more of an Entrepreneur & Laptop Lifestyle message instead of a product expert.
